Join the Hear Me! See Me! Choir

Posted by See Me, 5 August 2019

Mental health is part of everyday life. So is music.

Our champion Liam has started a choir, to bring our communities together and give everyone a voice.

The goal of the Hear Me! See Me! Choir is simple. To bring our community together and show that regardless of who we are, regardless of our mental health, we all have a voice!

The choir will bring together the voices of those with lived experience of mental ill health and those without, to show that we ALL have mental health and we all can learn to support those around us.

The choir is a great way to smash the stigma around mental health by bringing people together, to build friendships and to enjoy singing in safe space that welcomes all.

Liam said: “I wanted to start the choir to shot that everyone has a voice, everyone is equal in society and stigma and discrimination should not be tolerated.

“It’s going to empower people to realise they don’t have to feel isolated. We can get out and show we are all people, we are all different and can’t be judged because of our mental health”

Join 'Hear Me! See Me!' for their first rehearsal on Wednesday 14th August @ The Scottish Youth Theatre from 18.30-20.30!
