Wendy Halliday New Interim See Me Director

Posted by See Me, 14 August 2019

Following the departure of our director Calum Irving last week, we are delighted to announce that our assistant director Wendy Halliday will take up the role on an interim basis.

Wendy said: "I feel privileged to be taking up the reigns (on an interim basis) to lead See Me through this next and exciting phase for the programme and our work.  The current policy commitment to ending mental health stigma and discrimination gives us a fantastic opportunity to influence change,  to apply and expand what we know works to reduce stigma and to encourage behaviour change.  To ultimately make things better and fairer for anyone who may experience mental health problems.

"I don’t underestimate the challenge but with our talented and committed team and volunteers, our wide range of partners and supporters working together I  feel we can really make a lasting difference -  We can create environments that are inclusive, free of mental health stigma and where everyone can expect to be treated fairly and with respect irrespective of their mental health."
