See Me Choir Glasgow

Posted by See Me, 1 March 2019

One of See Me’s amazing Community Champions Liam is looking to start up a See Me Choir, which will allow people to come together and use music as a support and platform to talk about how they are feeling.

The message of the choir is simple – we ALL have mental health. We understand that our mental health can play a huge part in dictating the quality of our lives.

Liam was inspired by the HarmonyChoir project through in Edinburgh which showed that being part of a singing group leads to improved mental health, well-being, and social relationships as well as positive changes in self- and social identity, increased empowerment and connectedness with others.

After hearing this he thought… why not bring this to Glasgow?

In order to get this group set up we are looking for a brilliant musical director master and passionate committee members to support Liam.

Whatever your level of experience, if you feel you would like to get involved and have something to offer- perhaps you have insight in to being in a choir or have previously been a musical director for one, then please get in touch through this email address: liam.rankin@seemechampion.org

When you do so can you let us know:

• Why you would like to be involved.
• What you feel you could bring to the choir.

If you’d like to chat to someone, have questions about the choir or perhaps you don’t like sending emails then please give us a call on 01415301022.

Location: Glasgow City

For further information, please contact liam.rankin@seemechampion.org (Liam Rankin), or call 01415301022.
