Reaction to Royal College of Psychiatrists advert

People with personality disorders deserve help and support free from stigma and discrimination. We were very concerned to see this advert from the UK Royal College of Psychiatrists, and are pleased to see it was swiftly removed and an apology has been given for the language used. Stigmatising language like this can put people off asking for help in an area where they really need it.

We are engaging with the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland on this issue and will support work to challenge stigmatising and discriminatory attitudes going forward.
