Growing the See Me Team

Earlier this year we had a big recruitment drive to help take See Me into the next phase, with a strengthened focus on health and social care.

We are delighted to now be able to introduce you to the full See Me team so you can get to know us all a little better.

Calum Irving, Director. Calum has been with See Me since June 2016, after working for various organisations across the third sector. Immediately prior to joining See Me Calum was the first Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Scotland.

Sarah Crombie, Assistant Director, Delivery. Sarah will join the team later this month from Victim Support Scotland, where she was the Operations Manager.

Wendy Halliday, Assistant Director, Programmes. Wendy will join the team at the end of May, having previously worked as the Organisational Lead for Health & Social Care Integration at NHS Health Scotland.

Ruth Latusek, Business Support and Quality Officer. Ruth joined See Me in April, having previously worked for Voluntary Action Scotland. Her role involves ensuring See Me has efficient and effective systems, processes and procedures delivered to quality standards.

Clare McArthur, Monitoring & Research Officer. Clare previously worked as See Me’s Programme Administrator for almost a year. Her new role will involve monitoring the progress and impact of See Me’s programmes. Before See Me Clare spent 3 years working in Australia.

Clark Wallace, Administration and Events Assistant. Clark has been with the programme since October 2016 and handles the admin for the programme. He will be the first point of contact for many people getting in touch with us.

Toni Groundwater, Social Movement Manager. Toni joined us this month from Venture Trust. She will be managing many of our volunteer programmes, including our Community Champions programme, which is driving so much change across the country.

Maeve Grindall, Social Movement Support Officer. Maeve has been with See Me for over a year, having joined as our first volunteer coordinator, helping to manage and recruit for our volunteer programmes. She has now taken on a new role, as part of our social movement team.

Eilidh Hollow, Social Movement Support Officer. Eilidh joined the team this month, having previously worked as a learning disabilities service co-ordinator at Unity. She will be working alongside Toni and Maeve, helping to grow a social movement in Scotland.

Patty Lozano-Casal, Health, Social Care & Workplace Manager. Patty will be joining See Me this June, having previously worked as the Evidence into Action Manager at Evaluation Support Scotland. Patty has also been the chair of See Me’s Advisory Board.

Benj McElwee, Health & Social Care Policy and Practice Officer. Benj joined the team this month from the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE). Benj has also worked for the University of Strathclyde Disability Service, ENABLE Scotland, and was previously a See Me Champion.

Zaff Hakim, Workplace Officer. Zaff joined the team this month, having previously worked at the Scottish Trades Unions Congress. Zaff will be providing support to employers to engage in the See Me in Work programme.

Laura Sharpe, Education & Young People’s Manager. Laura was previously See Me’s Children & Young People’s Officer. During her time at See Me Laura has led on the development of the new ‘What’s On Your Mind?’ pack for schools. Before joining See Me Laura spent 15 years working on children and young people in programmes across the third sector.

Tamsin Smith, Education & Young People's Support Officer. Tamsin joined the team this month having previously worked as a Development Officer for a Peer Education charity based in Lanarkshire. Tamsin will be working as the Education and Young People’s Support Officer, training and supporting Youth Volunteers delivering the ‘whole school approach’ to ending mental health stigma and discrimination

Nick Jedrzejewski, Communications Manager. Nick was previously See Me’s Media Officer, and has been part of the team for over 3 years. Nick promotes See Me’s programme in the media and has worked on See Me’s media volunteer programme, writing newsletters, campaigns and creating video content.

Dee Mackenzie, Digital Campaigns & Marketing Assistant. Danya joined the team this month, having previously worked as the Digital Marketing Officer at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. Danya will be running See Me’s social media channels, website, and developing digital marketing campaigns.
