Enter the Men’s 10K photography competition organised by ‘see me’ to challenge the stigma and discrimination of mental ill-health. The competition is open to all who attend the Men’s 10K event on 17th June, and it encourages participants to think about what mental health means to them, and how they might capture this in a photograph.
The theme of the competition is ‘Support’ and is open to your own interpretation. We all give and receive support as we go about our everyday lives – an encouraging smile, a helping hand, a good blether. What makes you happy and helps you stay positive? Who or what lifts your spirits when you are feeling down? Look around you and take inspiration from the day.
Support is a very important part of the Men’s 10K. Whether you are a runner or a supporter cheering on your loved ones – partners, sons, brothers or friends – we are all here to celebrate their achievements and share special moments with family and friends.
So get out your phones and cameras and take a photo that you think captures the essence of the day. Take five easy steps to have the chance to win an iPod Shuffle loaded with songs from The Proclaimers: 1.Take a photo on your phone or camera of the Men’s 10k event day that captures the theme of Support.
2.Go to ‘see me’ Facebook page and open our Men’s 10K event page.
3.Click on our website link and read the photo competition terms and conditions.
4.Upload your photo on to our Facebook event page.
5.Now tell all your family and friends and ask them to vote for you!
The voting (in the form of “likes”) starts on Sunday 17th June 2012 and closes at 10am on Monday 9th July 2012. The photo that has most “likes” by the closing time is the winner.
Remember – The sooner you upload your photo, the longer it can receive “likes”!
