Nick Clegg’s apology for his use of the term ‘nutter’ in the Sky TV leaders’ debate, is welcome, and I would ask all politicians to remember that at least one in four of the people they seek to represent will have direct experience of mental illlness.
However, I believe people in Scotland would be less impressed if they knew “see me”, Scotland’s campaign to end the stigma of mental ill-health, had been in touch with Nick Clegg’s office within hours of the debate and has as yet received no communication and no apology. It seems a public apology was only deemed necessary once an English organisation complained
