Universal Comedy will be performing a unique comedy show at the Wine Bar, Gilded Balloon on Wednesday 25 August as part of the Edinburgh Festival
Fringe. Universal Comedy, a charity and emerging social enterprise use comedy workshops and training courses to help people with long term ill
health and mild to moderate mental health problems develop their creativity and improve confidence, communication and aspirations.

The show will feature past participants from Universal Comedy's training courses who have benefited from the workshops and have used comedy
to help alleviate the problems associated with ill health such as isolation, anxiety and depression. They will be performing their own stand up
material and will be joined by Universal's professional comedy tutors Susan Calman, Viv Gee, Steven Dick, Paul Sneddon and Jojo Sutherland
who are all working comedians and writers on the Scottish comedy circuit.

Come along and see how Universal Comedy's work has helped individuals create and perform their own comedy and how this has helped to transform
their lives. As Davie Collins one of our performers said:

'Between my ill health problems and the onset of middle (old) age you can imagine I was feeling a tad low. Until Bingo! Universal Comedy.
Universal Comedy helped me along with my family and friends handle all my problems. I am by nature a 'show off' but Universal Comedy workshops and
courses encouraged me to go that extra mile. I get such a thrill getting up and larking about. Laughter is the best medicine, whether the problem be physical
or mental.

All in all it's a great comedy show for a mere fiver.
