MSPs pledge to reduce stigma around mental ill-health
“The Parliament notes that 10 October 2011 has been designated World Mental Health Day and will be the first day of Scottish Mental Health Week; understands that one out of four people will experience mental ill-health; believes that, with a reported 41% of people saying that they would be or are ashamed to have mental ill-health, stigma associated with mental ill-health continues to be a serious issue in Scotland, and applauds the good work of organisations, such as See Me, that aim to help reduce this stigma.”
Richard Simpson MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife
